The Center for Comparative Management Studies (CCMS) was founded to inform managers around the world about the particular management styles and processes used by their global colleagues in specific cultural contexts in an effort to improve cross-cultural management expertise and overall management skills, particularly in developing and emerging economies. The primary mission of the CCMS is to become a leading information resource for managers around the world engaged in, or interested about, cross-border business activities or otherwise looking to learn from the management practices of their foreign colleagues. The primary focus of the first stage of work for the CCMS is surveying the large amount of research that has already been done in the field and distributing consolidated and critical summaries of the material in the form of working papers on topics such as cross-cultural management research techniques. In the future the CCMS will publish articles and books on relevant topics, conduct original research, provide consultative services and training and sponsor seminars and conferences for the benefit of managers, educators and regulators around the world. The CCMS will also distribute information through regular contributions to the Comparative Management Studies Blog.
